Note: This is not the same as Amaryllis belladonna, a look-alike bulb (yet very different) originating in South Africa that thrives in hot, Mediterranean climates--it's very common in California, for instance. Lycoris x squamigera, originating in Japan, needs true winter for long-term success. Unfortunately this product is not suitable for shipping to Western, Southwestern, and deep Southern states unless your property is at a high enough elevation to provide freezing temps during the winter months.
