Dear Corrine
Dear Corrine
I have been biting at the bit for a number of years, wanting so badly to offer this exquisite new little daffodil. Hybridized by the Dutch firm A.P. van Ruiten, registered by Englishman Ivor Fox, and selected by Dutchman Hein Meeuwissen for his absolute sweetheart of a wife and my friend, Corrine. From the cross of (‘Jetfire’ x ‘Ice Follies’), this resulting flower is one of the earliest in my field, generally a couple weeks earlier than ‘Jetfire’, when most daffodils are still emerging. It inherits the vigor and stamina of both parents. Glowing orange, spreading coronas give way to yellow at the rim, matching the swept-back perianth. Dwarf in habit, small-flowered, and very early. Superb on pots for those who like to force or grow your daffodils in containers, and equally perfect in the garden. A PHS Daffodils exclusive in the 2024 American market. The initial stock release came a couple weeks ago and was sold out on the first day. We are restocking again soon, for those of you who missed the first round. We hope you enjoy ‘Dear Corrine’ as much as we do! Makes beautiful little round bulbs.
